Obituary for Beverly Williams (Galtrude)
Beverly G. Williams, age 85 of Janesville died on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Alden Estates Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Jefferson, WI. Beverly was born in the Town of Merrillan, WI on November 24, 1932, the daughter of the late Edgar and Bernice (Conley) Galtrude. She graduated from Eau Claire High School and later married Merlin C. “Willie” Williams on November 15, 1952. He predeceased her on April 1, 2007. For many years, Beverly has been a member of Faith Lutheran Church and when she was younger, worked at the Shopiere Store and Frito Lay.
Beverly was a very generous, loving and sometimes opinionated lady, who was very proud to be a mother, and grandmother. The most important thing in her life was spending time with her family. Beverly was a past member of the Ladies of the Moose, #197 and the Red Hat Club.
She is survived by her five children: Linda Larsh of Beloit, Cynthia Williams of Beloit, Nancy (Phil) Larson of Janesville, Tammy Zindars of Watertown, and Danny (Lisa) Williams of New Haven, MO; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, who she loved dearly. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her grandchildren: Cody and Natasha; great-granddaughter: Autumn; and her sister and two brothers: Betty Casselton, Robert Galtrude, and Edgar Galtrude.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Whitcomb – Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. David Nelsestuen officiating. Burial will be next to her husband at the Town of Turtle Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
