Obituary for Joanne Krause (Morris)

Joanne Krause (Morris)
Joanne L. Krause, age 80, of Janesville passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Agrace Center for Hospice & Palliative Care in Janesville. She was born in Vernon County, WI on August 2, 1937, the daughter of the late Lewis and Florence (Clark) Morris. Joanne married Algene A. Krause on July 6, 1968 at Peace Lutheran Church in Janesville, where she is still a member. In her earlier years, Joanne worked at Woolworth Department Store and Fox Corporation in Janesville. She and her husband moved to Baraboo and lived there for 27 years, before returning to Janesville in 2006. While in Baraboo, she was a valuable and dedicated employee, working for Craig Culver at his Baraboo Culver’s location, and they have continued to remain friends. When they moved back to Janesville, Joanne and her husband reestablished themselves as active members of Peace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed camping, sewing, and cake decorating. Later in life, after taking an art class, Joanne found out she had a hidden artistic talent. She became proficient in drawing and calligraphy writing. Joanne was a very caring, compassionate, and loving woman, who was proud to be a wife, mother, and sister. She was the best mom, anyone could ask for, and she will be missed by her family and those who knew her.
She is survived by her husband: Algene; her children: Carla Krause, Cathy Krause, Michael (Linda) Krause and Wayne (Jane) Krause; and two grandchildren: Lindsey Krause and Jaley Krause. She is further survived by her siblings: Julie (Rich) Schmitz, Phyllis Anderson, Marlys (Gerald) Engels, Tina (Charles) Ransom, and Wayne (Julie Parzy) Morris; and sister-in-law: Judy Krause. She was predeceased by her parents; and sister: Janet Larsen.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Peace Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Lehmann officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Memorials would be appreciated if they were made to Peace Lutheran Church.
