Obituary for Nancy Snyder (Farmer)

Nancy Snyder (Farmer)
Nancy L. Snyder, age 71, of Janesville, passed away early Friday morning, August 17, 2018 at SSM Health/St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. She was born February 5, 1947 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of the late Fay M. & Frances L. (Welton) Farmer. She loved gardening, and especially treasured her flower gardens. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards, especially euchre! But she loved playing games of all sorts, including board games, cards, and word games. She was an avid lover of cats. Her greatest love and joy was her family.
Nancy is survived by her 4 children, Robin (Joe Fanella) Knief, Jamie (Tim Webster) Larson, Tracy Snyder, and Jason Snyder, all of Janesville; her long-time companion, Donald Holmes, of Janesville; her 2 brothers, Nate Farmer, of Monroe, WI, and Patrick Wickersham, of Ft. Atkinson, WI; her 2 sisters, Elizabeth Osborne, of Albuquerque, NM, and Sue (Dan) Paul, of Janesville; her 5 grandchildren; her 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Eugene Farmer, Richard Farmer, Janet Kramer, Gerald Farmer, and Fay Farmer, Jr. and her nieces, Chris Olin and Candice Osborne.
A Memorial Service in celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES. Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday at the FUNERAL HOME. We would like to thank the many nurses and doctors at SSM/St Mary’s for their exceptional care of our mother. Especially Nurse Scott who made her want to dance again.
