Karenlyn M  Elliott (DeWitt)
Karenlyn M. (DeWitt) Elliott, age 54 of Warrens, WI and formerly of Janesville, WI, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 7, 2018 at her home. She was born in Janesville on July 11, 1964, the daughter of the late Ronald C. and Mary J. (Coffey) DeWitt. Karenlyn graduated from Craig High School in 1982 and honorably served her country in the US Air Force. She continued her education at UW Whitewater, graduating with a master’s degree in social work. She previously worked at the Veterans Service Office in Janesville before she moved to Warrens, WI to take a job at the Tomah VA Medical Center.
Karenlyn’s passion was spending time in the outdoors and enjoying nature. She enjoyed camping, hiking, and spending time with her two dogs, Jack and Dexter. She was a very hard worker, who took great pride in helping others. Karenlyn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, while always looking forward to her visits back to Janesville. She will be sadly missed by her family, co-workers, and everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her son: Jacob Elliott; her three brothers and their spouses: Stephen and Cindy DeWitt, Douglas and Shelley DeWitt, and Matthew and Connie DeWitt; grandmother: Sarah DeWitt; her step-mother who she was very close with: Pat DeWitt along with her children and their families; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was predeceased by her parents and grandparents.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Whitcomb – Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Amstutz officiating. Full Military Honors will be provided by VFW Kienow- Hilt Post 1621. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery.
